Fly is Bass food, Bass is Muskie food. Food chain in action. Big bait=Big fish, right? I was fishing in Lake of the Woods near Nestor Falls, Ontario, ( I stayed at Cadadian Haven resort www.canadinhaven.com)and I was trying to pick up a few smallmouth bass on my flyrod. We decided it would be fun to turn on the camera to watch me catch a bass on a 5 weight fly rod. Turns out there was a very hungry muskie nearby. As you can see in the video, the muskie tries to eat the bass that I hooked. Unfortunately, my camera ran out of memory. The film is entertaining nonetheless, and big muskie like this one are common in Lake of the Woods, especially if you go to Canadian Haven resort in Nestor Falls. (www.canadianhaven.com) I fought the muskie for 15 minutes. Then, the muskie got smart and spit up the entire bass. The poor bass was still alive. The bass was 12 inches long. Canada is awesome! 50" Musky hits the WEAGLE www.muskylink.com - She fought hard for 10 seconds, but after seeing the size of the fish and how she was hooked, I wasnt going to give her the chance to get off!
