Eskasoni Highway - Lot 06-1 - $42,000 - 2.62 acres This newly-created lot is completely covered with untouched forest (including mature hemlock, spruce, birch, etc.) and overlooks the Bras Dor Lakes. This would be an ideal property for building a summer, retirement or permanent home as it is situated only 18 kilometers from Sydney. This vacant lot is located at the corner of the Eskasoni Highway and McAdams Lake Road, approximately 0.5 kilometers from the Beautiful Public Beach on the East Bay Sandbar. The front 50 feet of this lot has been cleared to the highway, grass seed has been planted, and a driveway with culvert installed according to current government regulations. The fresh water MacAdams Lake is approximately 1.0 kilometer up the road and provides excellent fishing and recreational boating possibilities. Views: 140 Rating:

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC Bank) : Corporate Bully Att: RBC Bank President Gordon Nixon - Salary - 11.73 Million!! $100,000 - MISTAKE (FISHERMEN'S LOAN) I'm a commercial fisherman fighting the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC Bank) over a $100,000 loan mistake. I lost my home, fishing vessel and equipment. Help me fight this corporate bully by closing your RBC account. Website http://www.corporatebully.ca YouTube http://www.youtube.com/CORPORATEBULLY There is no monthly interest payment date on the contract. Date of first installment payment, (Principal + interest) is approximately 1 year from the signing of my contract. Demand loan contracts signed by other fishermen around the same time showed a monthly interest payment date on their contract,(agreement). The lending policy did change at RBC from one payment (principal + interest) per year for fishing loans to principal paid yearly with interest paid monthly. This lending practice was in place when I approached RBC. Only problem is the loans officer was a replacement who wasn't familiar with these type of loans. She never informed me verbally or in writing about this new criteria. Memories of Jeff Wagner Our 19 year old son full of promise and happy in life. He enjoyed ATV's and at 6ft 4inches dragged his knees on his pocket bike. He also liked his crazy blade skis, fishing and snorkeling. Jeff had joined the fire dept in 2005 and took all courses offered. He was in Dexter's heavy equipment program at NSCC. He joined search and rescue. On Oct. 26 2006 Jeff was killed on impact while travelling to Antigonish to adopt a German Shepherd. The wonderful members of the Chester Fire Department held a memorial service for Jeff Nov 5, 2006 where his classmates and fellow fire fighters along with friends and family said good bye to a wonderful man who worked hard and always helped his family and friends. Air Disasters - Swissair 111 Swissair Flight 111 (SR-111, SWR-111) was a Swissair McDonnell Douglas MD-11 on a scheduled airline flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, United States to Cointrin International Airport in Geneva, Switzerland. This flight was also a codeshare flight with Delta Air Lines. On September 2, 1998 the aircraft used for the flight, registered HB-IWF, crashed into the Atlantic Ocean southwest of Halifax International Airport at the entrance to St. Margarets Bay, Nova Scotia. The crash site was 8 kilometres (5 mi) from shore, roughly equidistant between the tiny fishing and tourist communities of Peggys Cove and Bayswater. All 229 people on board died. The resulting investigation by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) took over four years and cost CAD$57 million (at that time approximately US$39 million).[2] The organization concluded that flammable material used in the aircraft's structure allowed a fire to spread beyond the control of the crew, resulting in the loss of control and crash of the aircraft. Point Pleasant Park,Halifax,NS Canada Point Pleasant Park lies on a rocky 75-hectare (185 acre) promontory jutting into the Atlantic Ocean at the eastern end of the Halifax peninsula, in Nova Scotia, Canada. This park has been a place of recreation for the citizens of Halifax since the city's founding in 1749. Before that, it was a hunting, fishing, and ceremonial area for the indigenous Mi'kmaq people. Until 1866, Point Pleasant was primarily a military bastion, but in that year it was leased to a newly formed commission for a public park. Trees were planted in its early years as a park and it soon became an urban forest where citizens could find an oasis of peace close to the bustling city. Views: 638 Rating:
