10 23 09 Fishing Conditions Perfect morning for fishing. The wind has just turned light northeast so that could really get things going. We didn't have any fish weighed in here, but Paul C. was nice enough to tell us that he had 4 fish weighed in last night up to 35 pound from IBSP. There were a ton of hickory shad down the island yesterday as well so bring some lighter gear in case you don't run into anything else. The owner and Captain of the "ALGOL" Captain Charles Kresge Sr is one of the best vessel operators I have ever experenced, and a great man. Fish Story-Fish steals rod & reel, only to be caught!!!! 2008 In June 2008 I went fishing near Sandy Hook, New Jersey with my friends Ashok and his son Yash from Yash Liquors on Washington Street in Hoboken. After putting bait on a few rods and putting them in the rod holders, I noticed my brand new rod and reel was missing from the rod holder. I pick up the back rod and felt I had a fish on. Blue Fishing Atlantic Ocean With Roger Muller & Joe Covello On May 17th Roger Muller and Joe Covello anchored between Sandy Hook, New Jersey and Staten Island, New York. As soon they dropped the bait the Blue Fish frenzy started. After an hour and a half they had almost 30 Blues in the boat. Most of the Blue Fish were released because Roger is a member of the Hudson River Fishing Assn., who preaches catch and release if you are not eating the fish.
