Catching a Cownose Ray at Solomons Bridge As we were fishing for bluefish and rockfish at the Solomon's Island bridge in Maryland, Sharon hooked into a cownose ray. She got tired after a while and I took over. Eventually the ray threw the hook, which was a good thing, since I usually release them anyway. These guys put up a real fight but are mainly a nuisance cause they're a pain to land and aren't very good to eat.
