Fishing for Spring, or King Salmon in Sooke, BC - Vancouver Island Spent two hours in the morning, before work, fishing for Spring, King or Chinook Salmon. We managed to catch a couple of Pink Salmon which we decided to release and then caught a nice 18-19 pound King / Spring Salmon. We left the docks of Sooke Harbour Resort and Marina around 6:30am and were back at 9am with these nice fish. It only took us 10 minutes to get to the first fishing grounds.
