2 Reel Fishing Adventures - Sooke, British Columbia We went out for a full day of Chinook (King, Spring) Salmon fishing with 2 Reel Fishing Charters. www.2reel.ca We can't explain how much fun we had with them and fishing guide Ron Neitsch. Leaving the docks at Sooke Harbour Resort and Marina, early in the morning, we arrived at the fishing grounds 10 minutes later. The water was nice and calm, something not unusual in this area. PART 1 - Great trip to Ukee, Vancouver Island Chinook fishing ...today was an awesome day to be on the water at the SW corner - we found a little pinnacle that produced nothing but big fish for the first hour that we started working it. All three of us had fun - I was tagged out on my springs in the first 30 minutes and then proceeded to puke my guts out like I normally have over the past 4 years...kind of weird though, because when i was younger I never ever chowder'd the tide. Must be age creeping up...LOL :) My first fish was a 22 and the second ... Views: 185 Rating:

herring fishing A short Video of the Herring Fishery as it goes on in French Creek near Parksville on Vancouver island. The Fishery is usually very short - 3 to 4 days I think, but hundreds of thousands of tons of herring go out of here mainly to the Japanese market for their eggs. They are a very expensive item in Japan. Then people wonder why the salmon fishery is so bad....... MAYBE ITS BECAUSE MOST OF THEIR FEED FISH IS NOW GONE?
