Fishing has continued to improve in spite of the howling winds of late March and early April.Starting out on Monday the 31 st of March fishing with Jason Pollard we boated 8 Snook up to 27" and a mess of Ladyfish in th PM. All fish were caught on DOA shrimp and Yo-Zuri 3d minnows. On the 1st of April Jim Brown and his son and daughter Andrew age 8 and Gillian age 5 spent the morning together catching Ladyfish and Trout to the tune of about 50 fish. Then on Wed 4/2 i fished with Jim Allen and John and once again caught a mess of Ladyfish and 25 or so Trout up to 3# as well as a couple of Snook with 1 being 27" just a hair short. All of these fish came on DOA shrimp Cal tails and and 3d Minnows. Out again on the 3rd with Jim Brown again , this time we only threw the flyrod and had varied success with a bunch of ladyfish 2 Trout with one going a couple of pounds and 2 small Snook. We also Jumped a 20# Tarpon for a little added excitement.Fisishing up on the 4th with my good buddy and longtime customer George Vogel we Had a decent day with 40 or so Ladyfish a few Jacks 10 Trout , 10 Snook up to 29" and a Sheepshead on a Doa Shrimp. All these fish came on DOA 1/4 ounce Shrimp and Mirro lures. Can't wait for the wind to die !
