Tried to fish the channel in the AM, had a pretty good drift, 1 keeper and a couple of shorts on the first one, not much on the second, didn't sound like anything happining there and the traffic was unbeleavable!!! Got the hell outta there. Ran out to SH channel to fight the current...fish are leaving, they ain't comin in, that was the reason. Found a nice spot all by myself, very short lived! By the time I got to the next buoy, couldn't move..got the hell outta there. Found a nice pick out to the East and yes, once again, either a ship or the traffic put the kiebash to that. Fished a nice piece of bottom power drifting, good first drift, went back to do it again and some S.O B. Was right there doing the same thing, told him he had some set of nuts!! Not that anything is my spot, but for gods sake, give me a break! Ended the day with a few nicer fish, Rocco Farina, Wykoff, N.J. landed a decent 5 1/2 pounder for the pool. Big fish changed hands 4 times today! No limits, and not great fishing, action on shorts and Sea Bass....Hopefully a HUGE SCOTCH and stoggie will calm the nerves for tomorrow!!!! Capt.Ron
