If you are looking to catch more fish, it helps to be able to catch your own live bait.  Mullet are a readily avaiable resource here in Florida, but you need to be able to identify patterns so that you know where to find them.

Start by checking local creeks, boat ramps, bridges, inlets, sandbars, etc.  Soon you will have your "spots". Pelicans are always going to give away their location, so spend time looking in the sky as well as looking for them floating on the surface.

Tides are important as the shallow water will make it easier for you to catch them.

As you identify where they are be sure you have on your polarized sungasses and get out your cast net.  Most of the time you will need to creep up on them.  So be quite as you may only get once chance befor they scatter and move on.

Throw your cast net using your preferred style or follow Capain Mike's easy one hand, no teeth method to get a perfect opening.

Load your bait and go fishing!
