Chase N' Tails Fishing Charters Inshore Fishing Report...

Redfish are roaming the outside points, cuts, and oyster bars. The early morning and late afternoon has been the best bite. Start off with a top water lure such as a Rapala Skitter Walk in the mullet color has produced some BIG reds and snook. Any moveing tide works but i like a high out going tide my self keep watching for the big mullet to jump out of the water or makeing nervous water, get casting distance away try to be as quiet as possible use cut pinfish or live green backs for bait on a 2/0 circle hook or a jerk bait in the white color.

Trout are in the 8-12 feet of water on mix bottom a 1/4oz to 3/8oz jig with a new penny gulp work it slow across the bottom has produced nice size trout up to 21 inches as well as small gag grouper, cobia, sharks, and blue fish.

The tarpon are still out there but they have been hit or miss a stout rod with 40lb power pro and a 50-60 lb leader and a D.O.A swimming mullet works great.

Capt. Josh will be back running trips in the middle of next week and scallop season is right around the corner July 1.

Tight lines
