Fellow Anglers,

Now for some spring fishing reports for 2010. Boy that sounds great!

Was down at my marina (Anglers Marina) the other day getting all my gear ready for the season and was told by some reliable sources that some short Stripers have been caught in the rivers the past few days/evenings. By rivers I mean the Shrewsbury and Navesink. So it looks like water temps in the rivers have been warming to the degree that the "shorties" are starting to enter the rivers in Monmouth County. Good news!!!!

The clarity of the water has really been clear in relation to what I saw last week after the rain storms made the water look like coffee. I've got a few exploratory Striper trips with my mates coming up shortly trying to track down the early season spring Striped Bass run, so I'll keep you all posted about the outcome. I know where they're at, it's just a matter of when they show up in good numbers that counts.

Tight Lines,

Capt. John
