Fellow anglers,
Just wanted to alert you all about the fall Stripers in our area.
Before this lousy weather blew in (Friday, today and tomorrow), Stripers were being caught at dusk and at night at the "Rip" and in the Shrewsbury River on worms and eels with the majority of the fish being shorts with a few keepers mixed in. It's anybody's guess how long it will take for these fish to reappear. I know many of you are anxious to get a crack at these fish before it gets too cold, but mother nature is in charge right now and we have to wait it out until these 'Noreasters pass us by. We are having really high tides in the Shrewsbury River now (2' covering my dock...WOW) if you can imagine that.
Based upon past experiences, the fish should respond after these 'Noreasters have moved out of here so be patient. I will be calling those of you who have fished with me in the past and I have your phone numbers. I will also be sending out emails to those that I have their addresses.
As long as the weather cooperates, I'll keep the boat in the water. Stay tuned for further reports here on this web site.
Tight Lines and Following Seas,
Capt. John
