Good morning to all my fellow anglers,

Nothing much to report on the fishing front as this was a quiet week for me and Mark as the fluke season has closed and we are awaiting some word about the "weakies", which so far has been very quiet. We were suppose to have been part of a 5 boat corporate charter today, but was weathered out and now has been changed to a fall Striper bash. Neat idea........5 departments of a NY corporation competing against each other for bragging rights of who the best team is in the company for 2009. Can't wait for the rescheduled trip!!!! Talk about a ton of trash talking....

Yesterday's roaring storm really but a BIG hurting on the Monmouth County beaches if anyone cares to take a drive. I'm sure it will take a few days for the bay and ocean waters to calm down as both are horribly discolored.

As was reported to me by my friend and mate Greg W., offshore fishing has been outstanding at various locations, that is up until yesterday's storm. We'll see what happens now.

Tight Lines and Following Seas,

Capt. John
