Captain Ron Santee reports:

Much better fishing today! Had a 28 1/2 and a 24 pounder on the first drift...Current ran so hard it was very tough too anchor and fish a gang of customers. Picked away until we found some life between the channels. Had several nice shots of Bass and Blues. Birds working for over a mile! Drifted until the change of tide, anchored up for the last 1/2 hour of the day, started to catch again on the incoming. Had the first short fish in 4 days! A few limits on quality fish and plenty of Blues. Thank god they weren't as wild as yesterday, it gave us a much better shot at the Bass.Drew Warren, Sayreville, NJ had the big one at 28 1/2 pounds, 44 inches! Great healthy looking fish......capt.ron
