Fellow Anglers,

It's not hard to describe the current Fluke fishing that's occurring right now....OUTSTANDING!!!!!! For the past 2 weeks now, the quantity and quality of Fluke in the channels has been the best of 2009. Plump, fat and numerous is the only way to describe fishing in the TC Channel, the Sandy Hook Channel and the Ambrose Channel.

If you are lucky enough to get your hands on live peanut bunker or live snapper blues in the 3-4" range you have the opportunity to bag some really nice doormat Fluke that are out there. Of course, Peruvian Smelts and Squid are

doing very well too as is "bucktailing" with a Glo-Spro in the 4-6 oz range.

We love the outgoing tide at about .5 to 1.5 kts drift for optimum conditions. We've got charters on Tuesday and Wednesday, so we'll let you know how we did sometime Thursday.

The Fluke season closes Sept. 4th, so don't waste time. Give us a call or don't complain later.

Tight Lines,

Capt. John
