Captain Ron Santee reports:

Finally!!!! A decent day, Started out a little shakey with only 1 nice keeper where I fished yesterday. The bite today was right at slack tide (which we missed,) once the current started to run, that was it...got out of there fast! Fished the beach off of Highlands, very nice bite till 11:30 then a pick till the end of the tide. Nice mix of fish with plenty of slots for the action. Keepers up to 15.4 pounds...with a few guys catching their limits. Jermey Kapler, Bernardsville N.J. (a first time Striper fishermen) caught his limit and won the pool with the 15.4 pounder. Getting back to yesterday for a minute....all that crap I anchored on without doing much decided to bite around 4:45pm!!!! Almost exactly where I was fishing....Had a buddy of mine call (too rub it in) to say they were all over the place....Thanks. Capt. Ron
