The striped bass run is in full swing! On Monday, the Keith Reardon, Mick and Marty Golabek charter limited out with striped bass to 31". Shorts were released and the bluefish were everywhere. On Tuesday, the Scott Lavenberg charter had another limit of striped bass up to a high of 36". They are getting bigger. Also, plenty of bluefish were landed as well. On wednesday, we had aboard the Steve Shoemaker charter from PA. We started out with plenty of bluefish. Made a move, more bluefish and then we finally got the bass going , but when the strong south wind came up, the bite stopped, even with the blues! They landed bass to 33". I had a high of 63.2 degrees water temp. on some of those warm days. And the water must be warming up as there are spots in the bay with algea blooms. Fishing will only pick up now on the down side of the moon, and after this storm.

Afternoon / evening trips are available for the months of May and June. Dates left to charter are winding down. Nothing in May for a day trip. Day trips available in June are: 17, 18, 24, 25, 26 THAT'S IT ! ******** July, 1, 2, 4, 6. Striper and fluke combo anyone ??

Below you will find Bob Stiers with his striper on one of the open boat trips and Joe Ruscica with one of his bass on a recent charter.

THANKYOU,

CAPT. RICH NEWALLIS JR.
