Captain Ron Santee reports:

Contrary to yesterdays report, today was one of those days...First drop had no current but managed to catch a nice keeper...no other bites. Moved up the beach to find some tide, had a nice reading of fish, unfortunatly they didn't bite. Fished a wreck near the channel, again nothing! Finally found a light bite and caught 7 very nice keepers. Conditions were not that great and fish are in their spawn mode..Ran up the red side of the channel and saw fish finning on top...this normally happens when the water temp goes up quickly...a few days ago we had 54 degree temps....today 58 to 60! Capt. Frank only had a few fish last night also...tonights bite does sound better from his last call...more shorts than keepers thou...........gotta get better after the spawn. capt.ron
