FIshing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel 8/1/15 Flounder, Shark, but no Cobia
Took a ride to the CBBT for the first weekend of August, was mainly trying to catch cobia but we didn't have any luck. Our 14' boat was really too small to be out there and we got rocked around for 2 days. Ended up catching very few fish. I was expecting slick calm conditions which is the only reason we towed the 14' down from philly, instead it was rough and we couldn't do what we wanted to do, overall it wasn't a very good trip and you can tell from the tone in my voice the disappointment and demoralization we experienced, especially when I hooked up on an eel and it turned out we were just covered up in sharks. Every trip is a learning experience though, and this isn't the first time we've failed at catching a target species, and certainly wont be the last.

Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel Fishing September 2015. Spadefish, Shark, ++ more
Long Video! Hopefully you watch the whole thing, but some highlights are - 4:26 - Spadefish 18:53 - Shark 32:02 - 1st big ship wake 32:42 - 2nd big ship wake.... scarier wake! 39:42 - double header weakfish on top and bottom rig baited with pieces of gulp swimming mullet Took a drive to the VA area for 2 days of fishing in mid September. The first day I fished Backbay Wildlife Refuge along the Atlantic Shore of VA, didn't catch much. The 2nd day I launched my kayak at the Bridge Tunnel to target big Red Drum, however I didn't catch the targeted species. Instead I caught a Spadefish, Kingfish, Croaker, Weakfish, Porgy, Shark, Kingfish (aka whiting), Puffer and Oyster Toad. Paddled what felt like many miles but was probably about 6 or 7 miles. My Kayak is a hobie revo 13, like this one except older http://amzn.to/2i8N5uk Camera used to film is a gopro hero3+ silver http://amzn.to/2iy8PyO

Chesapeake Bay Fishing Report - October 19th, 2018
Pro Staffer Alex Perez lets us know what's been happening out there this week. Some good topwater action going on in the skinny waters along shoreline structure. Fall trolling has been picking up and seems to be the best way to get into some decent fish holding deep on channel ledges near mouths of the tidal rivers in the area. Chumming and chunking have also been working as of late with a mix of big Channel Cats taking the bait. Stay tuned for next week's adventure! Fishing for MONSTER Striped Bass on the Chesapeake Bay!!!

MULTI-SPECIES Fishing Challenge in BRACKISH Water!!! (My Dad Catches the Biggest Fish of His Life)
I take my dad fishing on the Chesapeake Bay for the first time in 2017! It's been a tradition that we've rented boats there once or twice a year for the past 15 years. To be honest, neither of us are very adept at saltwater fishing, and usually when we go we'll catch some white perch, croaker, and occasionally a small striped bass. But this year, I was determined to improve my skills and try to catch some of the monsters that swim in the bay! I bought just about every bait imaginable from the bait store, and armed with a tenacious determination to catch some giants, my dad and I tackle the rough waters of the Chesapeake head first!!! Annapolis to Abaco: A Sailing, Fishing and Freediving Adventure
At the onset of 2014 Summer, Ted and Zach Wingo left their home in Annapolis, MD onboard their 42 ft Catalina, "Ku'uipo". The goal was to reach the Abacos (in the Northeast Bahamas) and enjoy a few weeks of fishing and diving. 28 days and 1900 miles later, the father/son duo safely returned to Annapolis with a whole mess of stories to tell...The following was filmed with one GoPro camera during that period and highlights some of the trip's more exciting moments. Captain: Ted Wingo 1st Mate/Cameraman/Editor: Zach Wingo Disclaimer: All fish speared in this video were harvested in accordance with Bahamian regulations. Kayak Fishing - South River, Annapolis MD 10-05-2013
Kayak Fishing - South River, Annapolis MD 10-05-2013. I launched from the new Homeport Farm Park. I haven't trolled much yet and I need to tweak my setup a bit. I missed some because I couldn't detect the hit on the pole behind me. This was my first time fishing the South River and it looks pretty promising for future trips!
