we left the slip at 6:30 and ran 25 miles east to the 27 fathom ridge.the first couple of stops we caught red snapper after red snapper it didnt matter how big the bait was they were eating it.we moved a few miles north and found 1 short grouper and our limit of amberjacks.we started trolling from the ridge and whent east over the cones to the edge of the stream. not much going on out there but barracuda and 1 bailer mahi. trolled back to 27 and found a little weed line and picked up 2 nice mahi in the 15-20 lb range to end the day.
