The fishing last week got a little tougher with the cold front that came through. Practiced with a friend for the Southern Open. Each day we looked for bigger fish and each day had good luck. Mon,Tues, and Wed had 10-15 bites and had 18-19 lbs with a big fish of 5-7 lbs each day. We targeted shallow scattered grass with a horny toad and Choo Choo buzzbait. During the tournament fishing got a little tougher. I had to fish as a co-angler and was in tenth after the first day and finished 18th. Next few weeks should be great with the cooling water making the bigger fish bite. I have dates available in November and am running discounted 6 hour trips.
