Anglers fishing with me on the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB’s Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, had good action with reds during the past week. Large reds are schooling in Gasparilla Sound where anglers connected with MirrOlure Top Dog, Jrs, CAL shad tails, jerk worms and my Flats Minnow fly. In addition, trout and snook were also caught and released.

When the wind blows out of the north-northeast, we get extreme low tides which make for great sand hole fishing. The fish have nowhere else to go and jam up in the holes.

Sunday was much better. Chad Smith, Chris and Allan work together up in Ruskin, and were ready for some Charlotte Harbor fishing. We started out at 6:30 AM from the marina with Chris and Allan.
