Offshore North Key largo Fishing Was Tough! (2/02/2007)
[Miami,FL] Had to work extremely hard for the fish last weekend. Saturday, Devon (mate) and I met Frank, David and James for 2 days of fishing. Saturday started off with North winds blowing 20 knots and we were greeted with seas at 3-5'. The bait was incredibly easy that day and the guys were very efficient at catching them so most of our bait were "primo" hookers and I only threw the net one time to top off the other livewell.
Sails and Swords (1/24/2007)
[Miami,FL] Report on a couple of day trips and a couple of night trips
Holidays in Miami (1/02/2007)
[Miami,FL] Offshore fishing in Miami/upper Key Largo. Target species was the Sailfish. The month of December was a tough one. El Nino winds from California and the S. Pacific area have been blowing across the Gulf, keeping the cold fronts to the north of us. This has 2 effects on us. It gives us strong winds/seas and mild temperatures with cold fronts stalling out before reaching us.
Thanksgiving fishing in Miami! (11/30/2006)
[Miami,FL] Offshore fishing on the bottom & top, day & night. Thanksgiving weeks was a doozie. I took Tim Rodebaugh, his son, and a friend, from Houston Texas on Sunday and Monday prior to turkey day. Last year he fished with me about this time and it cost him a butt load of money. He ended going home and putting his 270TE WorldCat up for sale and bought a new 330TE WorldCat. Our main goal on this trip was to catch the Miami Duo (Sailfish & Swordfish in the same day).
Miami Fishing By Day or Night! (10/11/2006)
[Miami,FL] Swordfish and Dolphin fishing in Miami as well as a incredible trip to North Carolina for Wahoo.
Hot Miami Nights Fishing (8/23/2006)
[Miami,FL] The reports have slowed down as has the fishing business. August is, notoriously, the slowest month of the year both in business and in daytime fishing. The daytime fishing is sporadic at best with the sea temperature approaching the high 80's to 90 degrees.
