Time to take the wife fishing! Sometimes it gets a little old watching people on your boat catch fish "scratch that". It never gets old watching your clients catch fish but it is sure nice to have the pole in your hands sometimes.

After 2 or 3 charters in a row it's hard to get out of bed and go wet a line but when my wife says she is ready to go it's time. We fished together for years but then the chartering kind of slowed that down so we try to take every opportunity to be together on the water as possible.

One thing that hasn't changed is that it is always a competition when we are fishing. (I did teach her everything she knows!)

With the tide we had it was Trout fishing first and then a quick try for a decent Red fish or two. Well the Trout fishing was good but we had a hard time getting the nice Red fish to bite but there was no shortage of small (AKA Rat Reds) to be had.

All in all it was a great morning and the fishing was good. We both caught a lot of fish even though she said she beat me by a few fish but I always let her win.

Thanks for a great day Deb

I have been fishing the Jacksonville Florida area over 30 years with many a memorable fishing trip starting when I was a kid.
