It has been COOOOOLD and windy in North Florida the last few days! I actually sat at the boat ramp yesterday morning with my client's watching the wind blow 25 plus and freezing for about an hour before we decided to go back to the house.

Sometimes you have to forget the money and decide not to put people thru that. It would have not been fun. The weather looks better the next few days so I will be on the water tomorrow.

On a trip last week I was counting on the Drum for some action but they just wouldn't fire up good. The small Trout were every where and the plastic was all you needed.

I also found some nice schools of 4 to 6 lb Red fish last week but could not get them hooked up. The small Rat Reds were not shy though. The smaller ones are always ready to eat.

Well we are coming to the close of another year and I am looking forward to another year of fishing. I want to thank all of my clients from this past year and wish them all the best. Hope to see every one in the near future.

Bio: Being a native of Northeast Florida I have enjoyed the excellent fishing and wildlife this area has to offer. I have been fishing the Jacksonville Florida area over 30 years with many a memorable fishing trip starting when I was a kid. We are in between and only minutes away from Amelia Island and St. Augustine, we can enjoy the fishing any direction. From downtown to the mouth of the ocean and all the back water in between.
