Daytona Beach, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report
From ponce inlet to south bridge Intercoastal waters
Jeff and his 13 year old son Eddie like to fish with artifical lures only so my choice for them was the Steelshad lure in Firetiger and the other had a Trout color tied on , We fished up Calalusia creek back past the bridge a mile and half or so in the deepholes and caught Flounders and Jack Cravilles they were having fun catching those so when the tide turned I moved back to the bridge and fished under it where we caught 5 trout and 2 more flounder .
Later we moved back to the canal behind Diamond head point and Eddie caught 2 mango snapper and Jeff caught another flounder then the trout started to bite and after catching 15 or so of them we had headed back to the ramp when one of them made one last cast of the day and thought they were hung up but when it started to move we knew it was big , 1hour 50 minutes later the stingray that we had chased 3 miles or so broke off .it was 5 to 6 feet wide and gave the guys quite a tussel as they had traded off a couple times fighting it till we could get it close enough to get a picture .
