Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 12/29/12

With Christmas, tough weather and travel my week on the water was very limited to just a few hours; I do believe the fish though were fairly active. It was more about some fairly strong feeding in and around the mouths of the creeks! It was pretty simple find the bait and you found the bass.

I worked areas where the bait was heavy; you had to be somewhat meticulous and precise with a real slow presentation but the bass were there for the catching and the fun came in short bursts fairly quickly during my time fishing this past week. I found dragging a Tight-Line football jig off the deep points at the mouths to be the most productive areas. You just had to keep that bait down on the bottom let the boat move the bait and be patient and you would catch some fish.

So far this winter we have not had much cold weather, so being on the water has been fairly pleasant and results were pretty good.
