As of late on Mosquito Lagoon, the fishing has been great with schools and singled up reds gorging themselves preparing for the upcoming cooler months. With our first "cold" front just moving through, this will really start to change the fishing conditions. Redfish will start to school up and move to different areas looking for the migrating finger mullet. Watch for concentrations of baitfish along with birds in certain areas.

There's nothing like our cooler months on the Lagoon with most of my clients posting catches of redfish well over 10-20 a day and up!

I've had a great time especially over the past year with a retired Navy Officer, Ron Phillips fishing with me several times a month. We've become great friends and he is a super guy to fish with. I would like for you to check out his website that he made himself about our past fishing on the Mosquito & Indian River Lagoon's. If anyone's in town looking to share a fishing trip...this is the guy to do it with! www.FishingWithFamilyAndFriends.com. You can check all our past fishing trips.

Bio: Growing up on the east coast of Florida I started fishing at a very early age mostly on the inshore waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Now with the experience of learning every corner of the back waters and fish behavior patterns, I am a full time fishing guide on the Mosquito Lagoon. Besides writing monthly fishing reports for my website, Coastal Angler Magazine, and various other organizations, I also enjoy working with and am on the pro staff for Rip Tide Lures, High Roller Lures, Berkley, Pure Fishing, Daiichi Hooks, and Costa Del Mar Sunglasses.
