The winds have been up just about every trip in the last couple of weeks. Some of the days we have had clear skies but some we have had horrible visibility. When its windy, instead of trying to fight with the wind I work with it. For example, if I am working a flat I will work with the wind and let it drift me across the flat using the push pole to slow me down and to guide the boat in the direction I want to go. With some adjusting to the winds and using it to your advantage the wind is not to bad after all (not to mention it helps to cool you off when its hot).
Dan and his father got to witness this first hand earlier this week on a trip out of flamingo. The winds were up in the morning and the visibility wasn't great. We adjusted to the conditions and soon both Dan and his father started picking away at the redfish and snook. They also ended the day with their first backcountry slams catching plenty of nice trout and a few more redfish and snook.

Greg and his friend Eric were out with me which was part of a two boat trip, both had a great time catching redfish in inches of water on artificial.
