Lady contacted me and asked me two take her son and one of his buddies fishing. She informed me that they had never caught a fish and had wanted to go fishing for over a year. I told her that that yound boys and girls needed action or they would get bored, so I told her I would take them perch fishing so they could have action. I spent a couple of minutes with each boy showing them how to do it. From 7:00 AM they put 140 white perch in the boat by 8:45 AM and then the bite quit. They were bringing in one to six perch in at a time. We moved to another location and caught 21 more. This was a four hour guide trip and the boys were active three out of the four hours.
If you are a parent and want to take your kids fishing, perch jerking in the way to go. If you don't know how to do it or are too busy, hire you a guide to do it for you. It will be a trip that they will not forget.
