This year 2008 ADFG has liberalized the limit of King Salmon on the Kasilof River. The Kasilof is the little brother to the Kenai, but it has fished well and sometimes better than the mighty Kenai especially in May and June. For those in the know this has been quite the secret. Last year I put several double digit days for a total of 77 kings in 12 trips in June. The fish in the Kasilof last year ran from 15-25# for the early run and my biggest was 61 in July. My anglers an generally back bounce salmon roe but when conditions are right we will back troll plugs.

The Kasilof is drift only so it makes for some relaxing days broken up by violent king strikes.
