Okay, what to do. The run to the hot spot off La Ribera was only about a half hour. Should we join the fleet or wait for the fish to show? With clients we probably would have left a long time ago and headed for the sure thing. I liked my cards though

EAST CAPE TUNA FISHING IS WFO! Just for kicks I broke out an Accurate spinning reel. It is amazing how much heat that little spinner will allow you to put on a fish.

Well it's officially HOT here in Baja. I'm talking about the weather as well as the fly fishing. We have seen the arrival of the blue water species that include Marlin, Tuna and even a few more Dorado. The offshore action has been wide open and wide spread from North to South.

If you are looking to get out early in 2011 and do some fly fishing do not forget about Mexico. Baja has excellent winter fly fishing. Here in the East Cape we continue to see sardina along most of our beaches.
