Fishing report for the week ending 10/3/2010

It appears that our rainy and maybe hurricaine season are coming to a close. Cooler temperatures and high peasure will dominate for the next few days. There is still plenty of bait on the beaches of all shapes and sizes. Snook and spanish mackerel can be found around the beaches and passes in good numbers. Free lined shinners and plenty of chumming works best

Sea trout were a little slower this week with the majoity being smaller schooling size, the larger ones should be showing up soon with the cooler weather. A shinner either free linned or under a popping cork has been most productive. Jacks and ladyfish are plentifull at times, heavy chumming gets them going an usually will draw a few snook and redfish along with them.

Redfish were a little slower more ones and two"s instead of schools, some of the windier days have made it difficult to see schooling fish, once again a shinner either fre lined or under a popping cork is your best bet.

I have also seen a few grouper inshore and with some lighter wind I plan on trolling some deep running plugs on nearshore structure.

Tight lines
