This week has had it's ups and downs. One day it seems the bite is so hot, the fish are jumping in the boat, the next a little tough but we are still able to put our fair share of fish in the boat. Pigfish are getting a little large but are still working on upper slot reds and oversize one's.

Soft plastics are doing very well right now for spotted sea trout along with topwaters in the early morning.

Located less than an hour from the Disney area, a fishing trip to Mosquito Lagoon is a great way to escape the parks for a relaxing day on the water!

Bio: Growing up on the east coast of Florida I started fishing at a very early age mostly on the inshore waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Now with the experience of learning every corner of the back waters and fish behavior patterns, I am a full time fishing guide on the Mosquito Lagoon. Besides writing monthly fishing reports for my website, Coastal Angler Magazine, and various other organizations, I also enjoy working with and am on the pro staff for Rip Tide Lures, High Roller Lures, Berkley, Pure Fishing, Daiichi Hooks, and Costa Del Mar Sunglasses.
