Ucluelet and Barkley Sound
The feeder Chinook fishing out of Ucluelet and Barkley Sound is really picking up. Needle fish hootchies in green and blue are really working well. Guests on Tuesday had opportunity to pull into the boat four beautiful Chinook weighing 10 to 15 pounds. The prawn and crab fishing along with the oysters on a nearby beach really made for a delightful trip. Guests had a wonderful seafood dinner at a nearby beautiful bed and breakfast. I did forget to mention the fillets off of a couple of good sized rock fish. With the salmon becoming more available and with ling cod retention coming close we at Slivers Charters Salmon Sport Fihing are expecting our Seafood Safari to really pickup beginning in mid April.
