As we are coming to the end next year of the retired space shuttle I figured we would head out for some pictures with the shuttle heading to the International Space Station. Well....first goal at 11:00 in the morning was to get a redfish in the boat for some photos. Fishing with my "better half", Christy I was determined to try and get some shots. It is tricky to get perfect photos of the shuttle as you only have a window of 10 seconds to have the fish ready and snap away on your camera. It took us less than a half hour to get the red we wanted for the photo. A sweet 27" caught on a chunk mullet. Redfish are still eating cut bait well, along with live finger mullet free-lined with plenty of sand holes present. Artificials are also still doing the trick with darker colored jerkbaits or a SLOWLY worked topwater lure.

As always if you have any questions, feel free to call and I hope you enjoy the pictures below of Space Shuttle Atlantis on the beautiful Mosquito Lagoon!

Bio: Growing up on the east coast of Florida I started fishing at a very early age mostly on the inshore waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Now with the experience of learning every corner of the back waters and fish behavior patterns, I am a full time fishing guide on the Mosquito Lagoon. Besides writing monthly fishing reports for my website, Coastal Angler Magazine, and various other organizations, I also enjoy working with and am on the pro staff for Rip Tide Lures, High Roller Lures, Berkley, Pure Fishing, Daiichi Hooks, and Costa Del Mar Sunglasses.
