I know that some don't dust off the speck fishing rods till Dec. 1 and some wait till later .
If you wait that long you may miss out on catching some nice specks , I was out recently and caught some nice ones jigging a 1/16 oz Hair jig in the tree tops on the main river in 10 to 12 feet of water .
