Sturgeon on the bite

Willamette River, Oregon - Freshwater Fishing Report
Lower Willamette between mouth & down town Portland

The Willamette River Sturgeon fishing has been real steady for the last month. The last couple days have been great, blue skies no wind and a consistent bite. We had to wade through a lot of shakers to get our keepers (42 to 60 inches) but we got them. The Willamette has warmed to 48 degrees that's about 5 degrees warmer then the Columbia River. As the Columbia warms a lot of these fish will move out into the Columbia. I am really looking forward to getting back into that river. The Columbia River Gorge is very scenic and a world class fishery. I am planning to start targeting it within the next couple of weeks. The Spring Chinook fishing will be in full swing by then so between the two the next couple of months will be busy. I still have a few open dates available if your interested.
