Rating: Tim Wade Makes Great Nets

The Mullet review is totally wrong. Tim Wade nets are great. Lee Fischer nets are also good. I spend over 200 days a year on the water. I know what works and what doesn't.

I would first like to Quote (Mullet from River) "tim wade cast nets arent really tim wade cast nets he really has about ten asian people making the net for him. I had a tim wade net and after a month the leadline fell of and leads slid. dont buy his nets he makes them look good but there not I am A netmaker and all the ways he makes his nets are wrong get" This person has absolutely no clue as to what he is talking about. Tim Wades nets are being used from Ca. to Ma. by both commercial and recreational fisherman. His nets are some of the best available at prices people can afford. I would venture to make the statement that they are as good as the Calusa net at alot less pricing. First off Mullet, if your a net maker as you stated. Why the heck would you buy someones net, and not make your own? Second, Any person with any common sense would know that no one man can make and sell as many as he does. But I do know for a fact that Tim cuts every panel that goes in his nets. Yes, he does have asians and americans doing different jobs in the construction process. Bashing someone on a public forum is very foolish and childish at best. If someone is looking for a great net at a fair price contact Tim at 321-729-9537. Tell him what your interested in doin and he will make it for that.

My cousin gave me a 7' bait buster with the fabric tape built into the bottom for deep hole casting. Most of the other boats around were throwing 10' and 12' Super pro nets. Kinda funny since I get there last and leave first with the limit way before they do. Just ordered a 8', 9' and 10'. I am very impressed with the webbing on these nets. Very easy to open time and time again. I would recommend them to anyone.

Rating: Poorly Made

I use the cracker net now. Purchased one of these and the lead is connected poorly on the bottom so 50-75% of the time the lead catches other lead and does not open properly. Great net if you want to use if for lead weights when you throw it away.

I have been using Lee Fisher cast nets for years. The Bait Buster comes in a cool green and white color and shows amazing craftsmanship. I used to only use calusa, but was turned on to these nets from a friend who is a live bait fisherman for a living and haven't looked back since. I recommend you use these nets in safe areas such as teh ocean, and buy yourself a cheap KMART type net for throwing at rocks and such.
