Arizona angler Paul Wyatt is exhausted after battling his 70 pound 4 ounce monster Lingcod he landed while fishing with Tim Berg on July 1st. Paul Wyatt joined Mike Shipsey and his buddies to fish with Tim Berg on the Ling Cod opener..they landed over 75 Big Lings...keeping several over the 60 pound mark!!
In addition to a record breaking day of Ling Cod fishing, the group landed king salmon to 40 pounds and #1,000 pounds of Halibut!!

The Kenai River is Alive and Well!!
Tim Berg's Head-Kenai River guide Greg Martin hoist's up a Record Class 74 Pound Kenai River King Salmon that was caught on July 2. Angler Mark Jenson of Utah nailed the big fish on an orange cheater using "Nate's Baits Special Egg Cure" while fishing near the Pillars.
The Big King did not give up easily, as the battled lasted for nearly 30 minutes before this record fish was netted.

"Our group caught more fish in a single day fishing with Tim Berg than we caught last year in an entire week fishing in Sitka, " stated a smiling Mike Shipsey during a photo session with his huge catch.
We started off the morning with multiple hook-ups on beautiful king salmon and silvers..after 45 minutes we had limits of salmon. Next we caught nearly #1000 pounds of halibut in 60 feet of water using our light tackle salmon rods...just incredible. Then Tim moved us to his Ling Cod reefs...we jigged up Big Lings..at least 75 of them...including a 70 Pounder"!!
