Hello everyone, St. Lucie Sportfishing Charters here with another full day of battles with an assortment of fish delights! Started out catching live baits, which was not an easy chore today. After about an hour of jigging for live baits we had enough to satisfy my goals for the day.
We headed for the Eight Mile reef to start the day drifting live baits, looking for that lonesome Dolphin or King Mackeral. After about ten minutes we had the first fish on, which turned out to be a black tip reef shark. After a qiuck release we caught a few more which prompted me to move to another area.I headed south about five miles which produced a nice rip & temerature change. After setting out three lines it was not long before the first King mackeral was on ice.
After awhile we boated another Kingfish & a couple of Bonito. We topped of the day with a nice battle on thirty pound test line with a 29 pound Blackfin Tuna. After we secured this fine table fare,a nice Sailfish decided to jump our way & latch onto one of our baits. after a short but colorful fight the Sailfish was released unharmed. That's my report from St. Lucie Sportfishing Charters, I am Capt. Sal, boat safe, fish hard! Please visit my web-site at www.profishingcharters.com.
