Walleye bite is improving!!

Lake Erie, Ohio - Freshwater Fishing Report
Kelleys Island, West of Gull Reef and Middle Island

Fair to good catches are being taken North of Kelleys Island, West of Gull Shoal and on the line near Middle Island. Bottom bouncers have worked well with all the wind we have had. Also,casting Weapons tipped with a 1/2 crawler. Majority of fish being taken are from the 2003 hatches averaging 22 to 24 inches. Many 28 to 30 inch walleyes are also being taken. Once the water temperature warms up the fish should become more active.
