This striper and hybrid report fishing report has been brought to you exclusively by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service, 770 827 to 6282. www.firstbiteguideservice.com Lake Allatoona, Georgia email: eidson6260@comcast.net.
Line side fishing is fair at best. The lake level has risen over 7 feet this week do to all the rain we had on Monday and Tuesday. The lake is muddy to stained from one end of the lake to the other and the debris is everywhere. If you just have to go fishing this weekend then you need to look for the clearest water you can find. You best bet will be on the south end of the lake and maybe the backs of the creeks. The fish are still feeding on small baits so make sure you carry some med. size shiners with you. Flat lines and planner boards will be you best bite early and late in the day. Be sure to clear your lines of pine straw and leaves every 10 minutes. I know this can be a pain in the neck but it will get you more bite. Trolling may be you best bet if you can find clean water. Put your umbrella rigs 90 feet behind the boat at 2.50 miles and hour. The lake should clear fast and the fishing should pick back up by next week. This may be a good weekend to leave the boat on the trailer and head down town to the boat show. I still have a few days open for January including some Saturday's and Sunday's. If you would like to book a trip please give me a call at 770 827-6282
