The weather was just crying for an offshore trip. We loaded a few folks on the boat and went out to where we have been catching squid regularly, 22 miles SSW of the harbor. With almost no drift, all the anglerws were able to get their gear down on the bottom. No one so much as had a bite. After trying 3 to 4 spots, we gave up on the suqid and came in for some Dungeness crab. That season has been slow this year, however all went home with some crab. We did see Grey whales at 22 miles out, migrating south. On the way in we saw a Humpback whale breaching and were surrounded by thousands of dolphins.
