Today we had Jeff and his son Mike (age 13) on their third Happy Happy Joy Joy Fishing trip.

Day started out with pea soup fog as we left the dock at 0800, made a couple calls and found Romer to be socked in and not a good bite going. Deceided to run to the back of the bay.

As we cleared the Navy Pier visibility incresed to about 3/4 mile. Ran back to where we have been having good luck and threw the lines over.

Was not long before action started, young Mike had his hands full with some slammers. Soon the Line Siders started and Mike landd his first ever Striper a solid 29 1/2"

Bite slowed a little and we made a couple changes, had a pick here and there.

All told for the day 8 Bass 3 where keepers 29 1/2 to 32" boxed 9 Blues to 9 lbs and threw back another 25 or so.

Sun kept breaking threw and the seas where calm. A great day for me and Mate Matt to share with a Father and son having the time of therir lives. That is what it is all about
