we left the slip at 7 am with a seasoned group and a livewell full of croakers and pin fish.the seas were 2-3 at 7 seconds with a 5 knot breeze out of the south.the first stop was a wreck near 27 fathom ridge. we get to the wreck and it doesnt mark up like i want but we try anyway, well 2 amberjacks in the 30lb class and 1 grouper bite that could not be stopped. we tried again but no more bites there so we move on to the ridge. every stop marked up really well but we could only get 2-3 bites and then nothing. we ended the day with 3 nice grouper and our limit of greater amberjacks plus 2 nice almaco jacks in the 15-20 lb range.
