It sure was good to get back out on the water after taking Tuesday-Wednesday and Thursday to move again. That is the one thing I hate more than when the fish aren't biting. Back to within 15 minutes of the lake Rosberry or Waterfront. That is awesome. Sure makes the job of fishing Guntersville a lot easier in servicing the needs of clients.
The deep bite is still really good but it seems that with all the clouds the fish have scattered out a little. A couple places are still stacked and a few places that had some big schools are empty right now. The ones that have left moved shallower to the grass but they will be back now that the sun has come back out. Just need to give them a few days. The jig bite has really been picking up and crankbaits, spoons, swimbaits are still working well. If you go shallow the flippin bite is good right now along with topwater and big worms.
The water has stained up a little with all the wind and rain. Friday afternoon it got a little hairy out there. The wind was howling and it got a little bumpy. Then it seemed like all we did is hide from the storms. The first one we took shelter on someones dock and when we finally got back at it here came another one and that is when we decided to call it and headed for the ramp. On our way back I thought I seen a tree floating in the channel but as we got closer it was actually people that had swam out in the middle of the channel in the storms. No boat around or anything so watch out for the crazy swimmers when running.
I have days open if anyone wants to get out. The big ones are biting.
