Colder water temps and rough sea conditions have made for some tough fishing in February and March. The cobia were hard to find and the mahi left with the sailfish, but the Last Mango got on fish and created action every day we fished.

Amberjack have been our got to fish in early spring and the snowy grouper bite has been pretty good as long as the tide isn't cranking at 4 knots. Same with the golden tiles.

The combination of a great fight form the AJs and a little deep dropping in the afternoon seemed to work out pretty well for us with 'limit' catches of all three species on many days.

Look for the AJ bite to ramp up even more in the months to come, the kingfish bite to do the same and the mahi mahi to be here in big numbers by the second week in April! There is going to be some excellent fishing in the months to come!
