After about 9 weeks of waiting my new Stratos 201 XL Pro Team Boat has finally arrived. I can tell you it was sure worth the wait. It is more than I ever anticipated, the Yamaha 250 HPDI is quieter than realized, more fuel efficient than I could ever have imagined; the boat runs over bad water unusually well and the blue coloring finish is just beautiful. Dawson boat Center and Stratos Boats have made this boat by far the best I have ever had.
This week on the water was met with a severe cold front one that is breaking nighttime records for this area. Needless to say the fishing has been fair certainly not great but productive enough to have some fun on the water. After several days on the water, we caught several fish a day and had several good fish every day. The grass is starting to grow in some of the areas stripped the hardest from the cold winter and the fish are showing up on the grass break lines pretty well.
Most of the week we caught fish on a lizard, crank bait, big worm, and a Punisher's Spinner bait. I fished from the mid part of the lake to Mud creek on different days and found the bite in several areas of the lake.
I have some days available the last week of April if you would like to fish, I am also available if you would like to follow any of the Pro's during the B.A.S.S. Elite 50 from the 26th through the 29th of this month.
