Sal Mattino

Hello everyone, this is Capt.Sal from St.Lucie Sportfishing Charters.A beautiful morning with parlty cloudy skies a light breeze from the south east.Live baits were scarce, taking some time to accumalate enough for the days trip. The sharp crew managed to put together an assorment of live sardines, cigar minnows and large blue runnner.

First stop was directly east of the inlet seven miles out.We were working with Star spinning rods matched up with Penn 750SSM.Spooled with Suffix Hi-Vis 25 lb test mono. The rig was Seaguar flurocarbon leader 50lb test.Mustad 5/0 circle hooks. This was all connected to the mainline on a 100lb Sampo ballbearing snap swivel.

It was not long before the Angler hooked up with a nice Amberjack that gave a good fight for about twenty minutes. This particular fish was caught on a Star conventional rod matched up with a Penn International reel. After the AJ was put on ice, we managed to boat two nice dolphin up 11 pounds. That's my report from St. Lucie Sportfishing Charters.Boat safe and fish hard! Please visit us at www.profishingcharters.com.
